The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regards to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level produced for intervention experiences a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more SRD means to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
